Vitamin B-12 - Naturally Fights Fatigue and Low Energy
Vitamin B12
, also known as cobalamin, is an important water-soluble vitamin. Vitamin
B12 is best known—and most promoted—as a cure for fatigue.
The human body doesn’t make B12 on its own. Some of the major sources of
B12 come from liver, kidney and clams, not exactly items on everyone’s
daily menu. It can also found in moderate amounts in some types of meat,
fish, dairy and eggs.
When you have weakness and fatigue it usually occurs because your body
doesn't have enough vitamin B12 to make red blood cells, which transport
oxygen throughout your body. This is what makes you feel tired and weak.
Unfortunately, symptoms of a
Vitamin B12
deficiency can take years to show up and diagnosing it can be complex. A
B12 deficiency can sometimes be mistaken for a folate deficiency. Low
levels of B12 cause your folate levels to drop.
The typical recommended dose for treating vitamin B12 deficiency is 2,000
micrograms per day.
We have all heard of the importance of Vit B12 and fighting fatigue and
being tired all of the time. This article speaks about: Association of
Vitamin B12 Deficiency with Fatigue and Depression after Lacunar Stroke.
