How LifeSource Vitamins came into existence is a story of family and faith. It begins with my family and how my faith and the faith of others helped create a vitamin that will not only work but will help people live a longer life, and not just longer, a longer, and healthier life.

Here is our story: LifeSource Vitamins began when I lost my father, Al Brightman to pancreatic cancer. It was 1990, I had just found out my father was diagnosed with this horrible disease. When I first heard the news, I figured that my dad, who I considered to be a Super Hero, would beat it with no problem. As it turned out that was not the case and he died 18 months later in June of 1992. With my dad’s passing, I knew I wanted to find ways to help people become healthier and live longer. I wanted to give people a way to prevent the loss of their family, which is exactly what my family just endured. I had the desire but just did not know what to do. So, I prayed.

The death of a parent is one of the most excruciating moments in a persons’ life and I highly suggest you tell your parents you love them and hug them each and every day. Once a Mom or Dad passes, you have to wait until you get to heaven to hug them again, but while they are here you have the ability to make sure that they know you love and value them for who they are and what they have done for you. I find that in the hustle and bustle of life that we sometimes neglect the ones closest to us. Hug and tell your loved ones relentlessly just how you feel about them. It was one of the hardest things that my family has ever had to endure. But out of this loss came hope, and the motivation to start LifeSource Vitamins.

Three weeks after my Father’s passing, I had sold one of my businesses in the Children’s Fitness & Entertainment industry and I was driving home from a business venture meeting that I was thinking of pursuing, but God had other plans. As I am sure you have heard this before, He told me what He wanted me to do. And it was crystal clear and absolute. I did not choose to be in the vitamin business, it was chosen for me and I have loved every minute of it. God laid out the plan for me, it was truly remarkable. When I say doors were opened for me to get into this business, I mean the doors were literally kicked in, as only God can do! So now it was time for me to get to work. I devoted my time and all of my money to researching why some vitamins worked and why most did not. I also began studying what nutrients worked well with one another, which ones did not, which ones were all hype with absolutely no nutritional value. I also investigated which ones don’t upload to the bloodstream without the accompaniment of another transport nutrient, and which ones don’t work in powder form, and so on…

After getting such a wide array of conflicting information, I hired my own team of Doctors, Pharmacists, Nutritionists, and Scientists to help me create vitamins and supplements that would actually work at the cellular level of the body. Most vitamins and supplements as everyone knows, flow (excrete) through your body with very little uploading, and uploading is the only true way for supplements to be effective. It took us 3 years of formulations, and re-formulations to come up with our first tablet form Multi-vitamin. Since all of our studies, research and double-blind tests were so absolutely conclusive, in 1996, we started manufacturing these vitamins for the American population.

Now let’s fast forward to the present time, I am humbled by the fact that God chose me and with His guiding hand—a tiny company (that started out with one product) is now a thriving business with more than 700 supplements and that funds amazing Christian organizations that spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. In essence, we work for God, and we know that there is no better job than we could have than the one we have at LifeSource Vitamins. We are blessed each and every day! We now ship to just about every country in the world and the results are all the same, fantastic.

We have inspiring and fiercely loyal customers, and every day they tell us that God has led them to us, and how they were looking online for a vitamin company they could trust, and there we were. With all of the vitamin companies out there now, how could we possibly pop up? I think we all know the answer to that question. Our Lord works in amazing ways!

I am the youngest of 7 children with countless nephews, nieces, and family members. Most, if not all of these family members, take our vitamins in one form or another, including my own 96-year-old Mother Katie, so believe me when I tell you, we will always manufacture our vitamins with the best possible ingredients no matter what the cost and we will never use heat during the processing that will kill the nutritional value of our vitamins.

As I mentioned above, with the loss of my father I began doing the research, and what I started finding out 30 plus years ago was big vitamin companies were not putting the best possible nutrients in their products. I think it is easy to figure out if you buy fresh harvested nutrients vs nutrients that are a week old, two weeks old, or more, then the nutrient has been compromised. It cost far less to buy older nutrients or frozen nutrients and they are far less effective as well. Why would companies do this? Billions of dollars of revenue are why. Part of my research was trying just about every name brand and multi-level vitamin I could get, breaking them down, testing them, and actually trying them myself, and what I found was that they all cost a bundle and I still continued to get sick taking them. I caught every cold and flu (virus) that swept through Portland, Oregon, and Orlando, Florida, both of my resident cities, both with very different health & climate challenges. I thought it to be ridiculous that I was paying $40 to $70 a month and got the exact same results. I got sick with all of them. This told me a few things, they were great at marketing the vitamins, and not so great where the results of the vitamins were concerned. It was at this point of frustration that I knew LifeSource Vitamins was on its way. I just thought it to be time for a company to compete with these mass distributors of nutritional supplements and beat them through optimum nutrition. We do not care about anything except results, in reality, results are all that really matter, not hype or slick marketing. JUST RESULTS!

In late 1992 my team and I formulated what we felt to be the most complete, well-rounded, scientifically advanced vitamin in the world, and we had to test them. The testing needed to be done on people who were in tune with their bodies enough to see the immediate impact or lack thereof with regards to their endurance, balance, sleeping patterns, flexibility, sense of well-being, and performance through this new form of optimum nutrition uploading. Our choice was simple; we chose athletes, and not just any athletes, Pro athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, Olympic athletes, World Class Marathoners, Sprinters, and Olympic Swimmers. We began testing with these athletes immediately, and what we found was astounding. We tested them for 2 years all around the world to ensure that the fantastic results were not geographically biased. We had the same results in all 17 countries. Our goals were easy, Stronger, Faster & Healthier! No Colds, No Flu, No Bugs! These results are only attained through your body being in total balance through optimum nutrition.
