LifeSource liquids are the quickest absorbed, within 15 to 30 seconds.
And because the minerals are ionically charged, they increase the
absorption of other nutrients too. This means great absorption of all
of your other supplements as well.
* When taking this liquid supplement for arthritis, you need to take less
milligrams of the liquid due to the absorb-ability of the liquid!
There is no current recommended daily dosage for glucosamine, however, most
people do best when taking 500 milligrams to 1500 milligrams daily, whether
alone or in combination with other supplements (like Chondroitin, Omega-3s
or MSM supplements). Studies show the 500 to 1,500 dosage range helps:
-
lower inflammation and help reverse autoimmune reactions
-
preserve joint health
-
reduce joint pain and tenderness
-
protect and repair the gut lining
-
fight irritation to the stomach, bladder, and intestines
-
treat inflammatory bowel disease and leaky gut syndrome
-
rebuild tissue and stronger bones following fractures or injuries
There is no better way to provide your body with these ingredients,

With virtually every move we make, our joints are constantly being
stressed. As the years' pass, these countless movements can take a
tremendous toll on the integrity of our cartilage. LifeSource Vitamins
Glucosamine and Chondroitin liquid provide a fast and convenient way to
replenish joint tissues and promote normal movement while protecting our
healthy cartilage from potential future damage. To increase its absorption
and functionality, we’ve added MSM, and essential trace minerals.
Who Should Consider:
Anyone who is experiencing Osteoarthritis joint-associated pain,
including:
What does Glucosamine do?
Glucosamine supplements are widely used for osteoarthritis, particularly
knee osteoarthritis. In osteoarthritis, cartilage -- the rubbery material
that cushions joints -- becomes stiff and loses its elasticity. This makes
the joint prone to damage and may lead to pain, swelling, loss of movement,
and further deterioration.*
Since the body's natural glucosamine is used to make and repair joint
cartilage, taking glucosamine as a nutritional supplement is thought to
help repair damaged cartilage by augmenting the body's supply of
glucosamine.
Numerous double-blind studies have shown that Glucosamine produces
significantly positive results in reducing the symptoms of Osteoarthritis.
The main function of glucosamine is to stimulate the manufacture of
substances, including cartilage, necessary for joint repair. It appears
that some people lack the ability to manufacture glucosamine and this has
been suggested as one of the major factors leading to the development of
osteoarthritis. European researchers were the first to study the link
between glucosamine levels and osteoarthritis. Of the three ingredients in
Glucosamine + Chondroitin + MSM, Glucosamine has the strongest amount of
research indicating its efficacy. If you are on a tight budget, Glucosamine
alone is a less expensive option.
There is promising evidence that glucosamine may reduce pain symptoms of
knee osteoarthritis and possibly slow the progression of osteoarthritis.
For example, a study published in the journal Archives of Internal Medicine
examined people with osteoarthritis over three years. Researchers assessed
pain and structural improvements seen on x-ray. They gave 202 people with
mild to moderate osteoarthritis 1,500 mg of glucosamine sulfate a day or a
placebo.*
At the end of the study, researchers found that glucosamine slowed the
progression of knee osteoarthritis compared to the placebo. People in the
glucosamine group had a significant reduction in pain and stiffness. On
x-ray, there was no average change or narrowing of joint spaces in the
knees (a sign of deterioration) of the glucosamine group. In contrast, the joint spaces of participants taking the placebo narrowed over the three
years.*
What does Chondroitin do?
According to the Arthritis Foundation, chondroitin is believed to enhance the shock-absorbing characteristics of collagen and block enzymes that break
down cartilage. It has been shown to help cartilage retain water and when
used together with glucosamine, chondroitin may reverse cartilage loss.*
How Does Chondroitin Work?
Chondroitin Sulfates are long chains of repeating disaccharides that are
sulfated. They are part of a group of glycosamino-glycans, also known as
mucopolysaccharides. They are made up of amino sugars, sugar acid, and
galactosamine (which is a precursor to glucosamine). The chains of
Chondroitin Sulfates are much longer than other glycosamino-glycans. This
added length seems to assist in the efficacy of chondroitin. Chondroitin
Sulfates have negative charges which cause them to repel each other and
attract water, which in turn fills space in three dimensions and enables the cartilage to absorb shock. While Glucosamine helps you manufacture or
repair cartilage, Chondroitin seems to help maintain its health and
lubrication.*
Recent Research on Chondroitin is compelling.
For the past seven years, we have not sold a product with Chondroitin in it.
We have refrained from selling Chondroitin mainly because the research on
the efficacy of orally consumed Chondroitin, although building, was not yet
compelling. We are now firmly of the opinion that, based on numerous
double-blind placebo, controlled studies, adding chondroitin to your
supplement regime is a strongly positive factor in reducing the negative
effects of Osteoarthritis. *
How Does MSM Work?
Methylsulfonylmethane, or MSM, is a safe and natural assimilate derived
from the Southern Louisiana Pine. MSM is organic sulfur--the kind your body
can absorb and use. Sulfur is the fourth most plentiful mineral in the
body. And, it is found in every cell of every animal and plant. Sulfur is
found in food; it is most abundant in eggs and red peppers, but can also be
found in significant quantities in grains, legumes, animal proteins,
onions, garlic, asparagus, cabbage, brussels sprouts, and broccoli.*
At the Oregon Health and Sciences University, Dr. Stanley Jacob discovered
that heating dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), caused it to crystallize, and
isolated 99.9% of the beneficial compound MSM. MSM is a pure, natural,
stable, white, odorless crystalline powder without the unpleasant taste or
odor of DMSO. It does not produce intestinal gas or body odor that may
occur with other forms of sulfur. MSM is not a drug or medicine and is
unrelated to sulfa drugs, to which some people have an allergy.*
MSM may help relieve joint pain and swelling - without the stomach damage,
rebound pain, and (yes, it's true) joint damage associated with
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID's), such as ibuprofen. Every
batch produced by LifeSource Laboratories has been tested. The first
food-grade MSM made for human consumption. The finest MSM available. .*
The key issue with MSM is what kind of effect it has on the body and why
you would take it. Unlike Glucosamine, you already get some MSM from your
diet. Strictly speaking, MSM is the biologically available (organic) form
of sulfur. Sulfur is one of the major components of food and one of the
most prevalent materials in the body. Most likely due to its chemical
similarity to sulfur, MSM has shown to be effective at relieving
inflammation and some would argue that MSM is far better than some of the
other COX2 drugs or NSAIDS out there.*
Why Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM together?
To aid in the relief of pain associated with Osteoarthritis (also known as
Degenerative Joint Disease) and to potentially slow the onset of
degenerative effects of Osteoarthritis. This is a combination that helps in
the rebuilding of joint cartilage, maintains the health of the cartilage, and at the same time reduces the painful inflammation associated with
Osteoarthritis.*
Study Glucosamine / MSM:
In a study noted by New York University Langone Medical Center,
glucosamine/ MSM significantly reduced osteoarthritis pain in study
subjects who consumed a specific dose daily for 12 weeks compared to those
who took no supplement. While glucosamine and MSM alone, at the same dose
as the combined supplement, decreased the pain experienced by the study
subjects, the effect was less than when they took both supplements
together. Glucosamine MSM may also relieve the pain associated with
rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, one or the other may offer benefits
against temporomandibular joint arthritis, interstitial cystitis,
inflammatory bowel disease, rosacea, and sports-related injuries.*
Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM Liquid, shown to help with
Osteoarthritis joint-associated pain, including knee joint pain, elbow
joint pain, finger, joint pain, Spinal, hip, and neck-related osteoarthritic
pain.*
